  • Collaboration Time/Late Start
Nearly every Wednesday during the 2009-10 school year, the school day will start one hour late. For elementary schools this means the start time on Wednesdays will be 10:00am. Collaboration time will focus on our school improvement work, specifically in the areas of math and school climate. Watch the Stargazer for reports on our use of this time through the year or view our School Improvement Plan information here on our site GO THERE NOW!
  • YMCA Information for Late Starts on Wednesdays
The YMCA has teamed up with the district and is offering free childcare for the hour during Collaboration Time on Wednesday mornings.  Check in the office to register for this service or go to Onsite Childcare on the district website where you will find links to the registration forms.
  • Are you Going To Volunteer In Your Child's Classroom Or Chaperone A Field Trip in the 2009-2010 School Year?
If you are new to the school or you don't remember the last time you filled out a form, please stop by the office and ask for the expiration date of your volunteer clearance. If need be, you can fill out a new form then. The clearance is good for two years only.
  • Kindergarten Program
All Day Kindergarten is standard at Peninsula Elementary Schools for every kindergartener at no charge. This year, the program is four days/week - no school on Friday.

Eligible Kindergarteners are children who are 5 years old by August 31, 2009. To register your child, please bring your child's certified birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency (electric bill). You can come to school and register on any school day, 8:00am - 3:30pm, or on the days listed above when the office is open.
